“LEAP…

…AND A NET WILL APPEAR.” – John Burroughs

It’s a quote I live by.  Whether it’s a big decision about family, business, love, friends.  Even small choices about new foods, trips, outfits, etc.  I’ve never been one to create a pros + cons list.  Most decisions – in my opinion – are best made when going with your gut and your heart.  Maybe it’s the artsy fartsy side of me.  Not sure…

If I’m having a tough time making up my mind – my brain thinks of the word “LEAP.”  Take a leap of faith.

Sometimes, I’ll land.  Sometimes, I’ll land…..flat on my face.

For example, the whole “PHOTO OF THE DAY” thing didn’t quite pan out.  I was on a roll for a bit…before the posts ended abruptly right before my sister got hitched in the middle of the country.  That’s what happens when you’re LIVING though, right?  You might end up in remote spots where there’s no wi-fi.  You might come to a time when you need a break from the computer world.

So the blog takes another LEAP — on this Leap Year Day!

Earlier this month, Matt + I took a LEAP by making a last-minute trip to Minnesota.  After rearranging our schedules (not an easy feat), we hit the road at the crack of dawn and called our family to see what they were up to.  The road led us to our niece Hannah‘s gymnastics meet…

The drive – LONG.  The pee breaks – FAST.  The weather – NASTY.  The look on Hannah’s face when she saw us hooting + hollering in the bleachers – PRICELESS.

Watching Hannah who’s only in the 8th grade (bragging aunt alert) place in the TOP 10 among high schoolers was SO SO SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

DO IT!  “LEAP AND A NET WILL APPEAR.”
