South Korea

October 18, 2008

That’s where I’m headed today!  My mom, sister Jessica and I are meeting up in San Francisco this morning and then flying directly into Seoul.  On the agenda: travel the country learning about our mom’s roots, explore, shop, family time, lots of food and, yes, tons of pictures!

I’ll be back on October 29th.  Annong-hi Kashipshio!  (Good Bye) :-D

I’m still here…

October 14, 2008

…it’s just that I barely have time to sleep, let alone blog!  Sorry for my lack of updates!  I’ve got more senior deadlines this week and I’m trying my hardest to get ALL of my orders done this week.  I’ll tell you why I’ve created this insane deadline later (hint: 10 hour flight).

For now, here’s my latest senior - Healy.  Can you believe all of these leaves were here less than a week ago?  I’m not ready for winter!!!!!!  I’ll post more from her session when I get caught up.  Until then….

Victoria: senior

October 8, 2008

I LOVE MY SENIORS!  Just wanted to get that out there.  I’ve had so much fun meeting the sweetest young ladies and gentlemen.

Victoria and I were having such a good time that it ended up being one of my longest shoots!  We went everywhere, including the junk yard.  Mad props go out to this girl for standing under a towering pile of smashed cars (while looking completely relaxed).  Every time I felt a breeze, I’d freak out thinking that the cars would come tumbling down!

Kira

October 7, 2008

Before I met Kira, she was described to me as a tomboy.  Her sister told me that Kira hates wearing makeup, doing her hair and dressing up.  Now I see why.  She doesn’t need any of that stuff.

Kira is just about to complete culinary arts school, so this shoot was a way to celebrate and commemorate her accomplishment!  Her sister Jolie is one of my rock star clients and wanted to make it even more special for Kira by doing her makeup. I loved the reasoning behind the shoot and the excitement leading up to it!

I look forward to seeing you again Kira!  Next time, I hope to be eating some of your yummy recipes!

Hair + Makeup by The Living Room - Downtown Great Falls.

I couldn’t decide which one I liked better…

Keri + Jake: wedding

October 6, 2008

Weddings are very special to Keri + Jake because…that’s where their love story began!  They were actually in a wedding party when they first met, so they’ve been counting down to their very own wedding!

Everything about this day was - I know it sounds cliche - absolutely beautiful.  It was actually drizzling in the morning, but then it cleared up and the sun came out just an hour before the ceremony.  Boulder Ridge was the site for the ceremony and reception.  If you haven’t been out there yet, you need to check it out.  It’s off of Wilson Butte Road and you can’t even believe it’s right here in Great Falls.  There’s tons of landscaping, boulders, paths, a huge pond with fish and a waterfall.

This has been a tough wedding to go through because there were soooo many images that I loved!  Keri + Jake made for a stress-free wedding that was a complete joy to shoot.  I’ll stop talking now and get to the photos!

Makeup: by the lovely Shelley Turk of Beyond Beauty.

A bird’s eye view of the ceremony by my second shooter Matt Austin (not to be confused with my husband Matt, who also shoots weddings with me!!!).  Austin was running all over the place getting tons of different views.  This is is favorite - beeee-uuu-tiful!

A little bit later, Austin ran down and caught this!  During the ring exchange, Jake slipped this bad boy on Keri instead of the real ring.  Smooth move Jake!

Actual quote from the kid who caught the garter: “What in the world do I do with this thing?”

Our competition.

Synchronized drinking.

We scoured the place looking for a cool way to do the *ring shot.*  Here’s what I came up with at the end of the night…bling bling!  THANK YOU Keri & Jake for all of the fun times.  Congratulations!

Trase: senior

October 2, 2008

After a summer filled with senior girls, it’s been really fun shooting all of these guys lately.  Here’s one of my recent cuties.  What a nice young man!  Trase was so easy to work with…he just went with the flow and did whatever I told him to do!  It didn’t seem like work at all that morning…and we still managed to get a few shots of him too.  ;-)

See…I told you!

October 2, 2008

As I mentioned last month…here’s proof that Boerne thinks Duncan is his personal chair.  This isn’t the best picture (I’ll keep trying) and please ignore my dirty window!

I’ve actually been trying to get a picture of Boerne sitting on top of Duncan for 2 years now, but I’m not sneaky enough and they always hop up before I can catch it!
