about me

Meeting “ordinary” people with extraordinary stories. It’s the reason why I became a journalist. It’s the same reason why I’m a photographer.

A lot of people don’t know this about me, but I actually enjoy being BEHIND the camera just as much as being in front of it! I was extremely blessed to be a news reporter and anchor at KRTV in Great Falls, MT for the last 4 years. There’s not too many jobs that let you interview just about anybody and inform the community about the good, bad and bizarre happenings in our world. News is not planned or fake. It just happens. It’s real life. And it’s what I strive to incorporate into my photography.

Photography is a passion my husband Matt and I share. He prefers to stay “behind-the-scenes” - but in one way or another - he’s involved in every single shoot. The Lord put us on this path with our new photography adventure and we look forward to you being a part of it!

My training in photography and journalism began in college at Southwest Texas State University. I majored in print journalism, writing features about interesting personalities and events for local newspapers. I received a minor in photography - the old-fashioned kind. I spent many of my school days holed up in a darkroom, processing my own film and developing black & white prints.

Throughout the last 10 years of reporting the news, it hasn’t been the what, where, when and why that intrigues me most - it’s the who. I believe I grow as a person when I learn about other’s passions, relationships and dreams.

I’m looking forward to telling your story.
